Dear *|FNAME|*

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that we all have a heart for reaching readers with truth through story. We’re not alone—Christian fiction has found an avid reading community around the world that is eager for anything and everything having to do with the books they love so much.

We have been working on something that we can’t wait to share with you! What is it? In short, it’s a website—a destination for readers who love Christian fiction and want to be better connected to the books and authors. The site is called Novel Crossing, and like our tagline, we want this site to be a thoroughfare right through the intersection of fiction and faith. This site will include information, reviews, fun lists, articles, and more from ALL publishers of Christian fiction, not just WaterBrook Multnomah.

We’re still putting a polish on the website, but we plan a soft launch in a few short weeks at ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers). In the meantime, we’d love to fill you in early!

Why build a website?
Because communities are finding each other on the Web and we noticed a gap for fans of Christian fiction and decided to try to fill it. We wanted to create a place to congregate, to find new books and authors, to read interviews or reviews, to see what is coming out, and to get customized book recommendations.

Who is the intended audience?
Christian fiction readers who are looking for a place where Goodreads meets Facebook meets your favorite blog…all about Christian fiction.

What kind of content will be featured?
A big component of what makes Novel Crossing different is “The News” portion of the website where we bring to visitors:

  • New information about coming books
  • Author profiles
  • Interviews
  • Reviews
  • Unique content

Our vision is that visitors will return often for new information, ideas for fresh reads, to discover debut authors, and to discuss their favorite books.

Is it just WaterBrook Multnomah books?
No, the beauty of this website is that we are working to collect all inspirational fiction across all publishers. It’s a big undertaking, but we feel it is important for readers to find whatever they might be looking for, whoever might have published it. We consider it an opportunity to serve the Christian fiction fan and elevate the category as a whole.

Because of this, authors can sign up for Content Editor status, which will allow you to customize certain elements of your own page and presentation. As a Content Editor, you can leave a personalized note for readers who find you on Novel Crossing, update your photo, create reviews for your fellow authors’ books, add video content, etc.

We want you, as a WaterBrook Multnomah fiction author, to be among the first to see it, even before we share it at ACFW. See a sneak peek of an early DRAFT version here.
