Renee Ann Smith - Blogging for Books - Blogger Profile

SEPTEMBER, 2011

From time to time we plan to bring you interviews with some of our amazing and talented Blogging for Books bloggers in a new feature we're calling our "Blogger Snapshot". In our first snapshot, we asked Renee Ann Smith to tell us about how she got into blogging, what she blogs about and more...

Q: How long have you been blogging?
My one year blogoversary was on July 31st!

Q: What (or who) got you into blogging?
I began blogging when I joined American Christian Fiction Writers. I thought it would be a good outlet for my writing.

Q: Who inspires you?
I dedicated my blog to my best friend Nancy, who went to be with the Lord two years ago. She lived all-out for God no matter what the circumstances were in her life. Even battling breast cancer did not dim her bright light for Christ. I learned so much from how she lived her life and faced her death.

Q: What are you doing when you’re not blogging?
By day, I teach literature in a Christian high school. By night, I read and write inspirational fiction. (I hope to be published some day!)

Q: What do you love to blog about? Hate to blog about?
I love to share book reviews, devotionals, and stories of inspirational folks on my blog.

Q: Who is your primary audience? Who reads your blog? (Or, who do you want to read your blog?)
I gear my blog towards other women who either need inspiration or love inspirational books or both. One of my favorite things about blogging is being in contact with the wonderful women in the worldwide blogging community. I've met some of the sweetest, most encouraging people ever through blogging.

Q: What blog posts are you most proud of? Why?
I love blog posts that touch the hearts of my readers. Here are some of my favorites:

Q: On average, how many blog posts do you make per day? Week?
I try to post 3 times a week.

Q: What is your all-time favorite book? What is the best book you’ve read this year?
I have favorite books for every season of life I’ve experienced and too many favorite authors to count. Among the best books I've read this year are When the Hurt Runs Deep by Kay Arthur and Love Amid the Ashes by Mesu Andrews.
