We all have honest moments when we’re gripped by a desire to feel that what we’re doing matters more. That who we are matters more.
And according to one of the most shocking verses in the Bible, Jesus wants the very same thing for every one of us:
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” -John 14:12
That single promise—“even greater things than these”—should be enough to shatter our acceptance of spiritual mediocrity. Unfortunately, most believers have only tried and given up on vague notions of greatness…then settled into a life that’s just good enough.
We're encouraged by the responses we're receiving from those that have read early copies of Pastor Steven Futick's new book, Greater: Dream Bigger. Start Smaller. Ignite God's Vision for Your Life, which releases on September 4th, as well as the Greater DVD Curriculum that will also be available for small group discussion.
We're writing to ask you if you'd be open to helping Steven with his new book in the form of a video review.
Here's how it works:
- We send you an advanced copy of Greater (book and DVD) right away via UPS Next Day Air
- You read the book and review the DVD. (You can start reading chapter one here).
- You record a 60-90 second video explaining why other pastors and/or ministry leaders might be interested in preaching about the subject matter, why small groups, youth groups, college groups or Sunday School classes should read through the book, or whatever YOU think pastors should or can do with the message of this book.
- You email or snail mail us the rough video file or tape by August 1st (or about then) and we'll take care of editing it.
We plan to use these videos in our outreach to pastors regarding Greater, primarily through an email that will get sent to thousands of pastors all across the United States and a landing page on WaterBrookMultnomah.com that will house the videos.
We've partnered with several pastors in recent months, who have created videos for books such as Fearless and The Gospel of Yes, and we'd love to have your involvement on this new project for Greater!
In exchange for your video, we'll give you four added copies of Greater to distribute as you see fit.
If you would be interested in helping, just email me your address to chris@WaterBrookPress.com, and I'll drop you a book right away with more detailed instructions on making your video.
